Netflix has finally added the feature to download TV shows and films to watch on the go after years of requests from users for offline viewing.
The streaming service has announced that certain films and series, including Orange is the New Black and Narcos, can be downloaded to watch later. The new feature is free for users with a Netflix subscription and is available immediately.
The company added the feature thanks to high demand from customers. "While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we’ve often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where Internet is expensive or limited," it said.
To save an episode of a TV show or a film to watch offline, you'll first need to download the update for the Netflix app. Once downloaded, log in and go to the information page of the episode you'd like to download. Finally there'll be a download button that you can tap to save it the video to your device.
