Scarlett Johansson is the highest paid actor of 2016 according to the Forbes.
The 32-year-old star had combined earnings of $1.2bn (£977m) after a stellar box office run over the last 12 months with Captain America: Civil War and comedy Hail Caesar!
Comic book stars featured heavily on this year’s list, with Scarlett’s Marvel co-stars Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr tied in second place. They each collected a tidy $1.15bn (£817m).
Newcomers to this year’s list included Australian actress Margot Robbie placing fourth at $1.1bn (£896m) thanks to DC’s Suicide Squad, and Rogue One star Felicity Jones who brought in $805bn (£656m) thanks to her role in the LucasFilm anthology film.
Felicity also starred alongside Tom Hanks in Inferno, and with Liam Neeson in fantasy drama A Monster Calls.
The Forbes Richest Actors list is calculated using box office sales data from Box Office Mojo, as of December 27, 2016.
The ranking only counts live action films and only movie stars who had the most screen time – animated roles weren’t considered at all.
Earlier in December, the highest paid YouTube stars of 2016 were also announced by Forbes.
DewPiePie topped the list for the second year in a row after he brought home an estimated $15million US (£11.8m).
