US tennis star Serena Williams has announced she is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Ms Williams announced their engagement by posting a poem on the Reddit forum r/isaidyes where users share their stories of wedding proposals.
She said Mr Ohanian had taken her to Rome, where they first met, before making his proposal to which she said yes.
Ms Williams wrote on Reddit: “I came home/ A little late/ Someone had a bag packed for me/ And a carriage awaited/ Destination: Rome
“To escort me to my very own "charming"/ Back to where our stars first collided/ And now it was full circle/ At the same table we first met by chance
"This time he made it not by chance/ But by choice
“Down on one knee/He said 4 words/ And I said yes."
Mr Ohanian wrote on his Facebook page: “She said yes.”
One Reddit user joked: “Everyone on reddit is automatically invited.”
While another quipped: “The score is love-love.”
Ms Williams, 35, is said to have been dating Mr Ohanian, 33, for over a year.
Their engagement comes months after Ms Williams won her seventh Wimbledon singles title and 22nd Grand Slam title.
Mr Ohanian founded Reddit in 2005 with his college friend Steve Huffman.
