Nokia 3310 Could Possibly Be Look Like This

Nokia 3310

The Nokia 3310 is one of the most-loved smartphones of all time.

So rumours of a potential return for the iconic device this week has sent much of the technology world into a nostalgia-fuelled frenzy.

With the original device a major hit thanks to its simplicity, long battery life and incredible durability, any successor will need to be something truly special to replace the original Nokia 3310.

But now a new video has given what could be our first proepr look at what a Nokia 3310 Android device could actually look like.

New video footage released by Concept Creator has shown off a first look at how the Nokia 3310 may look upon its release.

The video shows an all-new Nokia 3310 that has received a major technological and hardware boost, but keeps much of the original’s iconic design.

Sporting a classic colourful moulded polycarbonate design that is 14mm thick, the new Nokia 3310 is updated for modern consumers with a number of extra features.

This includes a first-ever rear camera for the device, situated on the rear panel just above the Nokia logo.

The new Nokia 3310 phone would also sport a 1.5in colour screen - a far cry from the original’s two-tone, blocky grey and green display.

There’s also a built-in FM radio, the ability to create your own ringtone, and charging via micro-USB.

The video speculates that the new Nokia 3310 would come with 8GB internal memory and a 1650mAh battery that would provide the much-loved long battery life - between 55 and 235 hours on standby.

As it is only a concept, there’s no news in the video regarding price, release date or specific hardware for the new device, but we could find out all the details sooner than expected.

That’s because Nokia is set to reveal a number of new smartphones within the next few weeks - including possibly a new Nokia 3310.

The company is holding a launch event at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow in Barcelona, which begins on February 26th, where a budget Nokia device is set to be announced.

The refreshed version of the Nokia 3310 is expected to set customers back some €59 (roughly £50), according to information revealed by tipster Evan Blass.

Alongside the revamped Nokia 3310, tipster Evan Blass claims that HMD Global – the company behind the Nokia brand – will also announce a new flagship smartphone.

The new Nokia P1 smartphone will reportedly run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.

Other rumours features for the Nokia P1 include a 22.6MP rear camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, a hefty 3,500mAh battery and one of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

The Nokia P1 is expected to ship with an all-metal unibody design, a 5.3-inch display protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Below the screen, Nokia is rumoured to include a physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor for speedy unlocking of the device, as well as in-app purchases and security features.

HMD is also rumoured to unveil two new low-end Android 7.0 Nougat smartphones, purportedly dubbed Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, alongside a European edition of the Nokia 6, which was launched in China earlier this year.

According to reports, the Nokia 6 will be sold for €249 (some £211), the Nokia 5 at €199 (roughly £169) and the Nokia 3 for €149 (roughly £125).
