Samsung Galaxy S8 Price Leaked And It Is 20 Times More Expensive Than Relaunched Nokia 3310

Samsung Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has been subject to so many leaks over the past few months that we already have a strong idea of its capabilities and features.

However, until now we haven’t had any indication of how much it could cost.

UK retailer MobileFun has revealed what it believes to be the right figures for the smartphone, and the numbers are unsurprisingly lofty.

The smartphones and accessories specialist told BGR that the Galaxy S8 will be available for £799, with the larger Galaxy S8+ costing £899.

Both handsets will feature a dual-edge curved “infinity” display, but the regular model’s will measure 5.8-inches, and the S8+’s will come in at 6.2-inches.

Tech tipster Roland Quandt stands by similar figures, claiming on Twitter that the S8 will retail for €799, and the S8+ will retail for €899.

He also says they’ll come in black, silver and violet colour options.

Samsung is set to formally unveil the smartphones at an event on 29 March, before they hit the shelves in April.

Both devices are expected to feature an iris-scanner, a 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a new AI virtual assistant called Bixby, which is capable of speaking up to eight different languages.

The South Korean firm had been expected to launch its new flagship at Mobile World Congress in February, but decided to delay proceedings because of the catastrophic Galaxy Note 7, which was discontinued last year because of serious safety issues.

LG, Sony and Huawei tried to fill the void, but ended up getting brushed aside by the revamped Nokia 3310, a basic phone costing just £40.
