If there’s just not enough Expendables in your life, then here’s some good news – a fourth film in the blockbuster series is soon on the way.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Expendables 4 is a definite goer – although adds that it’ll be the final entry into the franchise.
But it seems that Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham will all be returning for one last round of Expendables joy.
And the film’s also got itself a tentative release date, with the magazine reporting that it’ll be on screens in 2018.
The Expendables franchise was first unleashed in cinemas in 2010, with the series intended to pay homage to the bombastic action movies of the 80s and 90s.
The first film saw the main trio joined by the likes of Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin and Eric Roberts, as an elite squad called upon to overthrow a Latin American dictator.
The 2012 follow-up saw Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Liam Hemsworth and Jean-Claude Van Damme turning up to join in the fun – while the most recent film, released in 2014, added the likes of Harrison Ford, Kelsey Grammer, Antonio Banderas and Mel Gibson to its cast.
Between them the movies have taken over $800m (£650m) worldwide – so no surprise to see another one entering into the fray, really.
A female version of the movies -The Expendabelles – tipped to star Milla Jovovich and Cameron Diaz – is also reportedly in the works.
